Napoleon Total war not launching.

My Napoleon Total war stopped working today. Initially thought it was one of the mods I am playing that is causing the problem. I uninstalled the mods, checked local files file with Steam. And after no success reinstalled Napoleon Total war, and checked latest graphic drivers and directx. Still no joy.

After a bit of Googling found a suggestion that by participating in the Steam Beta. Tried it and it worked, I though Steam is supposed to make live easier. Well it does most of the time...

How to join Steam Beta. Go to the top left of you steam browser. Click Steam, settings and opt in the Beta participation.

Worked for me!

Making History 2 Gameplay Tips

Always leave a ground unit in a region where you have aircraft based at a airfield. Loosing the region may lead to loosing all aircraft as well. As I found with the recent uprisings. I had a populated unprotected airfield. When I lost the region all planes was lost as well

Making History 2 Japan Turn 141

My invasion of of China is complete, had to deal with local uprisings but so far only single enemy Militia units that are easy to destroy.

This is the current status of Japan.

Japan is 4th in the World Ranking with a positive bank balance. Your bank balance can fluctuate severely. I have 36 cities producing 369 Industrial Production Units (IPU). IPU are needing manufacture anything in your cities. This can be military units or city improvements such as different variations of factories to further increase your IPU tally.

My coal(1065) and food production(2611) are my strongest assets. My oil is adequate since I started at nothing playing as Japan.

My focus was not so much on my miltiary so far but I have recently had 2 of my bigger cities churning out infantry units.

Below is my game status. My stability is quite low(65%) as I decided to annex all the ex China regions. The positive is that my manpower numbers are very high due to high numbers of my population.

A Non National Population Penalty of -10
A Non-State Religion Penalty of -10
A Non-State Culture Penalty of -10
A Unemployed Manpower Units Penalty of -5

Making History 2 Japan

At the moment playing Making History 2, the German Question(GQ) scenario as Japan.

The GQ is the earliest starting scenario at 1933 with '19th century technology, underdeveloped cities, minimal resource production, a weak global economy.' It does not say when the scenario is due to end, but as it is my first serious game, I don't think that would really matter.

I chose Japan as they where historically challenged for resources, and have limited regions to start out with. Hopefully less information to deal with, and I wanted to start early to learn the game mechanics.

Quite early on I declared war on China with the goal of acquiring oil resources of my own(See screenshot below) . This I achieved easily with my standard infantry, horse drawn artillery units.
